Privacy notice

What we collect when you answer our questions, why, who sees it, and the rights you have.

Last updated 3 November 2026.

Who is responsible

The controller responsible for your personal data is Ovaflora, based in Switzerland.

For any question about your data, reply to any email we have sent you.

This notice follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, it follows the GDPR as well.

What we collect

When you answer the questionnaire on our homepage, we store:

  • Your answers: the treatment you are looking into, your age range, whether you are planning alone or with a partner and the partner's gender, whether you have had IVF before, and when you would like to start.
  • Where you live: your US state, or that you live outside the US.
  • How to reach you: your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
  • Your consent, and when you gave it.
  • Technical details: a one-way hash of your IP address (we never store the address itself), the country your connection comes from, your browser's user-agent string, and the page or campaign that brought you to us, if your browser tells us.

Some of your answers are about your health and your family life. Under Swiss and EU law this is sensitive personal data, and we treat it that way.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To reply to you and prepare a first call, so the call is about your situation and not about forms.
  • To find clinics that can treat you and to ask them questions on your behalf. We share your details with a clinic only when you tell us to.
  • To protect the form from abuse: the IP hash lets us limit how many times the form can be sent from one connection, and the verification step keeps out automated submissions.

We process your answers on the basis of the consent you give when you send the questionnaire, which covers the health-related information in it (nFADP; GDPR Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a)). Protecting the form is in our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.

Who receives your data

  • Clinics, only the ones you tell us to contact, and only what they need to answer you.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and the database that stores your answers, and runs the Turnstile verification on the form.
  • SMTP2GO, which delivers the internal email that tells us a new questionnaire has arrived.

These service providers process data for us and only on our instructions. Some of them may process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. We transfer data abroad only with the safeguards Swiss and EU law require, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your answers while we are in contact with you about your treatment plans. We delete them when you ask us to, and in any case no later than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. The verification step on the last question uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that the form is being sent by a person.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • give you your data in a common, machine-readable format.

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if the GDPR applies to you, to the data protection authority in your country. We would be grateful for the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects data you have already given us, we will tell you by email.
